N-Terminal Pro-Brain Natriuretic Peptide Detection Kit (Fluorescent Immunochromatography Assay) is suitable for quantitative determination of the concentration of N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide (NT-ProBNP) in human whole blood, serum, or plasma samples. As a clinical auxiliary diagnosis, it can be used in clinical systems, medical institutions, and scientific research fields.Ventricular muscle and brain cells can express 134-amino-acid precursor pro-B-type natriuretic peptide (pre-proBNP), after intracellular hydrolysis of signal peptide, 108-amino-acid pro-B-type natriuretic peptide (proBNP) is released into the blood. NT-proBNP has no biological effect of BNP. Serum/plasma BNP and NT-proBNP levels are the single superior markers for predicting the risk of heart failure and diagnosing heart failure. It can be used to rule out or confirm heart failure in patients with atypical signs and symptoms of heart failure in acute situations or in patients with suspected signs and symptoms of heart failure in non-acute cases.
